Another year for the Luddington Invitational has come and gone. This year we rented a cottage (house) and all stayed together in Pugwash as we played at Northumberland Links. We had tee times for 3pm and it was FREEZING! We didn't take any pictures of the actual tournament as we were too cold. Twin 1 took a blanket from the cottage and was glad she did as her and Twin 2 had to cuddle in it at times. The tournament was for 9 holes but the rest played the next 9 as we paid for 18 but the Twins were so cold we just wanted to get back to the cottage and get in our jammies.
It was actually so cold that when it started raining and the wind died down that it was more enjoyable.
The boys finished up at dark and we had a big spaghetti supper and did the trophy presentation after everyone got warm.
RC and MK went out to a thrift store and they found a "green jacket" for the winner as they do at the Masters.
CE won the tournament by 1 stoke (even though he had a 17 handicap) and beat last years winner so last years winner had to hand over the trophy and green jacket.
The last place trophy is always a competition between the Twins. Twin 2 won it this year. We did not get this picture yet as we were too cold to go out to the vehicle and get it during the ceremony.
The Friday night before consisted of writing the "rules" down so everyone would know what they were and were agreed upon. We also picked out teams and we usually take team photos but not this year.
All in all it was a great weekend where we got to spend some time with family.
Here are also a few pictures of the beach and of course the pups.
And look how flat the rocks are here!
