Last Sunday's long run was 8k. We certainly know how to pick routes. At 4k we hit a hill (Beech Tree Run if anyone is familiar with the area) and it was a toughie however, the run back down the hill on the other hand was a breeze.
We used our auto pause function on the Garmin on this run for the stop lights. We thought it worked great but as you can see from the picture it stopped tracking Twin 1's km at 6k but the timer kept going. Twin 2 thinks Twin 1 is just too fast for the Garmin but from her pace you would think differently.
The weather was beautiful and we may have overdressed once again as it felt like we were Britney Spears in her sauna suit.

Tuesday was another 5k. We chose to do the same route as last week's 5k in the trail. This time the snow and ice were all melted.
Run was good however on the trail we met a lady waking her dog and Twin 1 ran by then a few minutes later Twin 2 ran by and lady says "You girls must be mother/daughter or sisters or something". "Umm yes we're twins". Now who did she think was the mother?
This run was our last scheduled one before Easter and 2 days before our bet was up and we were allowed to have chocolate. See how happy we were. Over the Easter weekend we were scheduled for a 4k run on Saturday however, we were buried in chocolate wrappers and couldn't find our way out.
We chose to run our long run today (Monday) and it was 10k. The route again was in the trail with the first and last 1.5 kms running down and up Charles Road. You cannot avoid hills in Timberlea. Today we tried run 10/walk 1 and it didn't make us any faster or slower. We still haven't decided if we are doing the 1/2 marathon running straight through as we usually did on our 10k races or if we are doing the walk/run method.
We need to get all our trail runs in as much as we can this time of year before the ticks come out to play.
Hope everyone had a great Easter weekend and we are signing off now to eat more chocolate.
