Where Are We?
We have not abandoned the blog. We're just lazy/in vacay mode at the moment. We will return to regular broadcasting (how sparse it is) shortly.

Wha'd up?
We are still running!!
Also enjoying some walks/hikes at the Bluff.
Made this salad over the weekend for the week. We call it "Super Salad". The ingredients include: spinach, broccoli, feta, cucumber, macadamia nuts, raspberries, blackberries, pumpkin seeds, coconut flakes, and avocado with some olive oil/lemon juice for dressing. And a little turkey bacon for some animal protein. YUM! YUM!

What'd up?
Its Wednesday already!
Parents came up this past weekend to celebrate all the bdays/anniversary's that are all in July/Aug.
They were rerouted on the drive up and had no idea why but we saw this on Facebook the next day and this was why.
A few went golfing on Friday and Twin 1's hubby wasn't home in time to start cooking for supper so Twin 1 and sister wi figured out how to turn the BBQ on and cook. Good thing Twin 2's hubby showed up before she shut the BBQ off cause she would have shut it off wrong. They have directions to turn it on but none to shut it off. Also she lots a veggie burger down in the BBQ but it all turned out ok.
Twin 1's hubby and Dad went out to look for cars for her as to what she thought but they came home with this! New to us Truck. We love it. Twin 1 drove it last night over to Twin 2's and its so smooth compared to the vechiles they had. Twin 1 still has her old beater but needs to figure out what she is doing come Sept when the inspection is up.

Wha'd up?
It's already Wednesday! Almost time for the weekend again :-)
We hope you all had a great Canada Day. ours was pretty low key.
At Twin 1's work they had a contest for most patrotic on Friday before the long weekend and Twin 1 won!
And this is what she won....ICE CREAM CAKE!!!! (It roughly feeds 25 people)
Next they went to Tims to wait out the down pour and then went down to Citidel Hill to tour around as they have never been there/not been there in a long time.
This is the posse.
Then they just went home and relaxed for the rest of the day. Some neighbours stopped by for some ice cream cake and there is still some left in the freezer.

We don't usually do too much on Canada day but Twin 1 and her peeps took advance of the FREE Canada Day breakfast that the community puts on at the legion. They got there when it started and they made them all stand and sing O Canada. Fitting to start off the day and weekend. Breakfast was delish!
