Amoxicillin Trihydrate

Twin 1 is still sick.  She made an appointment with her Dr. but can't get in until March 29/16.  Wiw talked her into going sooner as last year she had a bout of pneumonia so she made an appointment at the Family Focus walk in Clinic for 6pm last night.  They were only 20 min behind schedule which was nothing as her own Dr is usually 2 hours behind schedule.

Its been confirmed that she has a Bronchial Infection which may have turned if she left it too long.  So thank you Wiw.   Last year she had some chalky liquid meds as she couldn't swallow the horse pills they gave her at first so this year she requested the liquid which she chases with White Grape Juice which is delicious!

She was prescribed Amoxicillin Trihydrate which is used for Bronchitis, Pneumonia etc.

She was all prepared to buy the Grape Juice but when she went to give the prescription to the pharmacist they asked her if she wanted Chewables instead.  Chewables?! They make chewables? Yes of course for kids that can't swallow the big pills.  She couldn't pick her flavor as they only have them in a fruity flavor so no Juice was required.

After waiting 1/2 hour for the prescription to be filled she went and picked it up.  "Are these for you?"  Yes for me and not for kids.   She went home and had some supper and took her first does of the pills.  They are actually really tasty.  She has to take them every 8 hours for 10 days.  so 8pm, 4am, 12pm, 8pm etc.

This morning she was thinking it does not look like there are 60 pills in that bottle so she had to pour them out and double check.  There were 60.  She felt like a drug addict counting out her supply.

After her pills she ate a chocolate bar that she bought from a fundraiser at work and then that evening proceeded to cough so much she threw it up.  $2 down the drain and no bars left and she wanted to take the whole bottle if it meant no more coughing but refrained.

At this point she is still contagious so NO KISSING!
