Advents for Everyone

Get your advents ready! Tomorrow is December 1st!  25 days till Christmas.

Wha'd up

Last Thursday as the American Thanksgiving.  Twin 2 and her husband's tradition is to order the Festive Special at Swiss Chalet after work and watch football.  Twin 2's husband had other plans that night but Twin 2 carried on the tradition by herself.

We both took last Friday off and we did a little bit of shopping and got our usual Saturday errands done on Friday, which was nice.  After that we took the doggies to Long Lake and it was a beautiful day.

Saturday morning after our run we had our 6 week hair cut appointment with Orla at Dime.  We love these days.

Last Sunday evening we were supposed to go out to our friend B's in Bedford to watch the Parade but it POURED! So instead we told him we were coming out for Spaghetti supper this past Sunday, which we did.  It was good!!!

Before the supper Twin 1 and her hubs did some Xmas shopping and found these at the Dollarstore for the pups.  Now lets hope they don't chew them to pieces while we are at work.

Wha'd up?

Not too much as been up with us.  Just gearing up for the Christmas Season.  It will officially start for us after the US Thanksgiving which is tomorrow.  We have all of our "down home" gifts bought and wrapped and in a box ready to ship down.  We are staying here for Christmas this year so we have to send them down as we have no plans to go down before Dec 25. 

We have been keeping up with our 3x week running as well. 

Also we have been eyeing up already spiraled zucchini noodles at the SS and we finally bought some and made this with it.  They look like worms but don't taste like worms.  Twin 1 thinks they are tasteless.We just added a few spices and mixed them with onions and peppers.  They would be good with a sauce.

Wha'd Up?

1.  So, when we were thinking about what to do to decorate our doorsteps in a fall theme we came across a 'fake' bale of hay in Michael's.  We waited until it went on sale then bought it as we had no idea you could get a bale of hay/straw anywhere else.  WE were wrong.  Our bro-in-law couldn't believe we spent money on a bale of hay.  Then low and behold Twin 1 went down the valley and saw that you could get a bigger bale of real hay/straw for a LOT cheaper than Michael's.  We'll know for next year.

2.  This time of year it makes us a little excited for Christmas.  Our most favourite part of the season is sitting in the dark with lights on.  Twin 1 has left her lights up all year and started turning them on in the evenings while watching TV.

3.  Speaking of the dark, we've been keeping up the running and now we have to get a little creative with our running routes in the evening.  We are trying to get some trail in but it will be mostly road when the time changes on the weekend.  Booooooooooo!  Out come the head lamps and the reflectors.  We'll start looking like Christmas displays soon.  The weather has been holding out for us though.
