5 WEEKS TILL THE BLT 5K. We are getting there.
Wednesday, September 14, 2016 - Run at Point Pleasant with the pups at 5:00 p.m. It was a little chilly but we quickly warmed up. We are getting a little faster on the hilly course.

Thursday, September 15, 2016 - Originally a REST day but we Twin 2 was heading to PEI on Friday and Twin 1 had a bank appointment we got our Friday run done today. We ran around the 5k loop at Twin 1's that included sidewalk and trail.

Twin 1 went for walk at Kearny Lake Trails while Twin 2 was in PEI. It is bow season now so we have to wear our hunters orange as there is hunting allowed in the deeper woods where we walk.

Monday, September 19 2016 - This run we did on our own as Twin 2 was working in DM and no one knew what was going on so it was decided we would do it alone. Twin 1 took to the street and got caught in the rain on the way home and Twin 2 did the tread mill. The km's and times differentiated as we went different speeds that that is why there is no total. This was a confusing run as it was both miles and times so some math was needed. We both got it done!

Wednesday, September 2, 2016 - Run at Point Pleasant with Onyx (Pearl was injured) at 5:00 p.m. It was HUMID. Not sure where the "fall" air went we had last week but WOW!

This is a rest day but Twin 1 took the dogs to PP with Sister Wi. Another hot and humid one.
Twin 2 made up her bike workout from Tuesday.

Friday, September 9, 2016 - EYEBROW NIGHT! There is nothing better then getting the eyebrow's and hair done. We ran around 7pm letting our eyebrows get back to normal. We did the "loop" around Twin 1's which was half road and half trail. As it gets dark around 8pm we wanted to be out of the trial by then. We cut the workout short by 3 min as we made it back to the house but we got all the runs in.

Sunday, September 11, 2016 - Bike (Stationary). This involved "marathon pace" and we weren't really sure what that was on the bike so we did just a little bit slower than the tempo pace.

Monday, September 12, 2016 - We did the trail again out at Twin 2's and took the dogs. A little later start then anticipated because of SEPTEMBER TRAFFIC but only about half an hour off schedule. Our workout called for a total of 56 minutes but we only managed 52 min but once again got all our runs in.

Workout Wednesday
We thought we would change things up a bit and as we are starting to think about running again we decided to change our Wednesday post to Workout Wednesdays again. Twin 2 bought a book from Runner's World where there are only 3 runs a week but the runs are shorter and harder. We run 3 days a week and cross train (bike) and do strength training 2 days a week. We started the first week of August but got a little side tracked on vacation but now we are back on track. We are starting with the run/walk program as we hadn't ran in quite some time. Our goal is the 5k in October (BLT Fun Run).

Vacation
Well Twin 2's vacation is technically over and Twin 1 still has a week left to go. As mentioned before Twin 2's vacation started a little earlier than expected due to a friend's death but on the bright side they got to enjoy some time in PEI with friends.
On Tuesday this past week we, along with Twin 2's Husband and Bro-in-law went golfing at Brunello bright and early at 7 am. We tried to beat the heat. The next tee off time was at 740 a.m so we had a nice relaxing 18 holes with no one rushing us from behind.
After golf we grabbed some lunch at the TBR then we (minus Husband and Bro-in-law) made our way to Marble Slab Creamy to get ourselves a FREE ice cream sandwich (free for CAA members). The thing was huge and very tasty. We both tried the coffee flavour.
AND then after that we took the dogs down to Point Pleasant for an hour. We were beat after that and so were the doggies. To bad we couldn't sleep while the dogs drove us home.
On summer vacation Twin 2 and her Husband go to either Bayswater Beach or Rushton Beach. Rushton's water is so much warmer so we took a trip up there for the day on Wednesday. It took us a little longer to get there as our GPS took us through some back roads but we manged to find out way. The trees are growing over the beach signage so we almost missed it. When we got there it was a little cloudy then they rolled away and the sun came out. We both worked on our tan and Husband got some reading in. We took a lunch and spent a few hours there. Then we explored around Tatamagouche a bit (well...the thrift store).
Twin 1 made her way down home on Thursday and will return early next week. On Thursday Twin 2 did a little thrift shopping with Husband and got a little tanning in on Friday afternoon.
The big exciting event upcoming this week is we get our haircut!!! It's been forever! Our stylist broke her finger so we had to wait about 9 weeks or so between haircuts. We both may shave our head if we have to wait any longer lol

R.I.P Jamie Pilon
It's been a sad week as Twin 2's BFF's husband passed away in a motorcycle accident late Sunday evening. Twin 2 is over in PEI attending the funeral.
We had a lot of good times with him. When we ran the PEI 10k a few years back he made us the best pasta dinner and we got a new PB for the 10k and it was all because of that pasta dinner.
